Shastri urges Govt to remove pay anomaly of clerks

JAMMU, June 15: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subhash Shastri, today expressed concern over the continuance of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of the State Government and urged the Chief Minister to address the long-pending demand of the employees.
Addressing a meeting of NMC, Shastri said that as the Government has already removed the pay anomalies of various cadre, so as a good will gesture it should take an early decision on the pay anomalies of clerical cadre.
He also emphasized on the formulation of a new National Pay Policy throughout the Country, setting up of a 7th Pay Commission, which would cover both Central and State Government employees and pensioners, merging of 50% DA with the basic pay or pension provided to the Central and State Government employees and pensioners, enhancement of wages of daily wagers to Rs 10000 per month besides their regularization, increasing medical allowance from existing Rs 300 to Rs 1000, etc.
