JAMMU, May 28: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed Prime Minister to immediately accept the recommendations of committee headed by Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa, constituted for removing pay anomalies in respect of staff of lower grade pay in different categories beside non-finalization of HRA and other related allowances by the Central Government.
Addressing NMC workers meet here, Shastri pointed out that the committee has already submitted its report to Finance Minister Arun Jaitely recommending maximum increase in all allowances beside removal of all pay anomalies in respect of suffers categories of the employees of the Central Govt.
He hoped that Central Govt. will accept the recommendations in toto and decision in this regard will be taken in the next meeting of Union Government, Shastri adding that there should be no hitch in implementing the same.
Shastri exhorted the top leaderships of BJP that time has now come to fulfill the promises made during pre-election campaign meetings in the presence of the Prime Minister in the State, who had assured that if party was voted to power the issue of sixty one thousand daily rated workers would be addressed accordingly.
Expressing deep concern over in ordinate delay in releasing two pending DA installments of 14% which are over due since long, Shastri urged the Chief Minister to release the same as earlier possible as the salaried class and pensioners in view of inflationary pressure.
Shastri also appealed for enhancing the Medical allowance to Rs 3000/- per month, early issuance of notification regarding implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, creation of separate wage head for un interrupted release of monthly wages of daily rated workers of various Government departments and total exemption of DA from Income tax slab.
