Srinagar, Nov 14: Police today said a case regarding theft of sheep was solved in central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a complaint regarding theft of 20 sheep was received by police station Ganderbal from Abdul Qayoom. “In this regard, a case under FIR number 234/2017 under Section 357,380 RPC was registered and an investigation team was constituted for its quick disposal,” he said.
The spokesman said by the efforts of investigating team, 10 numbers of sheep were recovered from the possession of Mushtaq Ahmad Kohli and Shabir Ahmad Reshi and the cash worth Rs. 50,000 (received from the sale of rest of the stolen sheep) was seized from their possession.
“Furthermore, one vehicle which was used to carry the stolen sheep was also recovered. Further course of investigation is in process,” he added.
