In case the Government has no proposal to settle them at safer places permanently, it atleast should construct some buildings in safe zones where they can be accommodated in case any emergency arises. These buildings should have all facilities like water and electricity available. It has been seen that these people live a wretched life in tents where basic amenities of life are not available.
Besides, the Government should seek consent from the people who want to migrate from these areas permanently and rehabilitate than somewhere else in safe zone. Those who would not leave be provided shelter and security whenever the situation demands so.
These people have remained vulnerable to Indo-Pak hostilities since partition of the country.
