JAMMU, Dec 8: Shemford Futuristic School, Birpur, organized Inter-School Poetry Recitation competition on theme ‘Patriotism’ here today.
Various reputed schools including Jammu Sanskriti, Buds Blossom, Doon International School, besides and other schools participated in the competition.
On the occasion, Vijaypuri, renowned educationist and National Coordinator of All India Educational Forum was the chief guest.
The competition was divided into two categories Group A (UKG to Grade 1) and Group B (Grade 2 to Grade 4).
In Group A category, Serish Malik from Shemford Futuristic School Birpur, Kamakshi from Jammu Sanskriti School and Kanika from Buds Blossom bagged first, second and third prizes respectively.
In Group B category, Lakshita Sharma from Shemford Futuristic School, Anubhav from Doon International School and Angrini from Shemford Futuristic School bagged first, second and third prize respectively.
Roshni from Doon International and Manat from Shemford Futuristic School bagged the consolation prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stressed on the need of total commitment towards the cause of education.
Managing Director of Shemford Futuristic School, Sunil Dogra distributed prizes among the winners.
Later-on, students also presented cultural items.
