UDHAMPUR, Dec 24: A delegation led by Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shikshak Mahasangh, District President Dr Khemraj Sharma today called on Deputy Commissioner Indu Chib and submitted her memorandum regarding the problems of teachers.
Khemraj demanded intervention of the Deputy Commissioner for the transfer of teachers, who have not been transferred since 2016. He said that officers, Principals and ministerial employees are being transferred in the department, but the transfer list of teachers was in cold storage for the last one year.
“The online transfer order of teachers should have been issued on July 2021, but it did not happen in Udhampur district. This process is being repeatedly interfered with. New instructions are being issued every day. There is no transparency anywhere in this process,” he said and lamented that the teachers posted in difficult areas for years have been left to fend for themselves as the Government has failed to give them relief in common areas.
The delegation said that as per ATD-2021, the list of transfers should be prepared in such a way that instead of creating chaos in the department, it serves the sole purpose of streamlining the availability of teachers in the schools.
The Deputy Commissioner listened carefully to the delegation and assured to solve the issue soon after talking to the concerned officials.
