Shiv Baraat to be taken out on March 9

JAMMU, Mar 3: Shiv Sevaks of Ranbireshwar Temple Jammu will celebrate the Maha Shivratri as usual this year also.
This was stated by the Shiv Sevaks at a press conference here today. They said the celebrations will be performed by them in full cooperation with Dharmarth Trust, Jammu.
They said as Maha Shivratri falls on March 10, a Shiv Baraat (jhankis ) will be taken out in Jammu City on March 9 afternoon.
The Shiv Baraat will start from Ranbireshwar Temple here and after passing through different bazaars of the city like Shalamar road, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Panjtirthi, Mubarak Mandi, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar it will culminate at Ranbireshwar Temple.
The special participants from Mumbai, Bhopal, Muzaffar Nagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Meerut, Hoshiarpur besides the scouts and guides will take part in it.
On March 10 Maha Shivratri function will be held in the Ranbireshwar temple and on March 16 Bhajan Sandya programme will be held in which the participants, Bazar Associations, best jhanki and students will be honoured. This will be followed by Vishal Bhandara next day, they added.
