Shiv Sena, BSP condemn Srinagar grenade attack

JAMMU, Nov 4: Jammu-Kashmir units of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Bahujan Samaj Party have strongly condemned the grenade attack on Sunday market near Tourist Reception Center (TRC) in Srinagar in which 12 people were injured and emphasized that the Government needs to take effective steps to stop such terror attacks.
In a statement issued today, Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit chief Manish Sahni criticized the failures of the intelligence system. He said that in the last 20 days, 7 terrorist attacks have taken place in which 12 innocent and unarmed people and two soldiers have been martyred and almost the same numbers of common people and soldiers have been injured.
Sahni demanded the Modi Government at the Centre to come out of the election mode and focus on J&K. He also warned terrorist organizations to stop nefarious and cowardly activities.
Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has also expressed concern over the continuous increase in terrorist incidents in Kashmir valley after the formation of government in J&K. Addressing a press conference held at the party office, BSP J&K president Darshan Rana said that with the formation of Government in J&K, terrorist attacks are being seen in Kashmir valley in which many of our security forces and common citizens have been harmed.
Rana said that J&K Government also needs to make a strategy to stop such attacks. Along with this, he demanded that in view of the increase in terrorist incidents, there is a need to provide security to the leaders of the major political parties of J&K. Party vice president Charanjit Chargotra, coordinator Gourav, General Secretary Shashi Bushan Thapa and others senior party leaders were present on the occasion.
