Shiv Sena demands Art 371 for jobs reservation to locals

JAMMU, May 22: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has demanded preservation of cultural identity and reservation of jobs and education for locals in J&K under Article 371.
In a press conference here today, Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said for the last three and a half decade J&K has been facing terrorism.
“On the lines of other North Eastern States of the country, cultural identity of J&K should be protected and first right on Government jobs and admissions in professional institutions here should be for the locals under Article 371,” he said.
The Shiv Sena leader said that Supreme Court decision to dismiss the review petitions on Article 370 was a good development.
He said that those who are demanding restoration of Article 370 should raise voice in unity for Article 371 and announced a foot march immediately after the results of Lok Sabha elections to make public aware of his demands and to get their consent.
Shiv Sena vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamgar Wing, Raj Singh and secretary, Rakesh Handa were also present on the occasion.
