JAMMU, May 31: Chief of the State unit of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery), Dimpy Kohli, today made a strong appeal to Mehbooba Mufti led PDP- BJP Government to ban tobacco products in the State to save the future of youth.
While addressing the activists of the party in the meeting organized at Indira Chowk, Dimpy Kohli said that youth of the country are now becoming addict of drugs, tobacco products which is not a good signal for the future of the young generation and also for the country.
He said if Government is unable to ban the tobacco products for the reason of collecting revenue, Government must increase tax on such products. He said that an increase in taxes will automatically reduce overall tobacco consumption in the State and raise revenues for the State Government.
Dimpy further said that if Bihar Government can ban sale of liquor in that State than why J&K Government is not taking steps to ban liquor and other tobacco products.
