Shiv Sena demands increase in daily wages

JAMMU, Feb 1: Shiv Sena J&K here today staged a protest demonstration demanding increase in minimum wage of temporary employees in J&K and supported the demands of Safai Karamcharis of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni wherein the protesters raised slogans in support of their demands and held placards with slogans of their demands written on them.
Speaking on the occasion Sahni urged upon J&K LG, Manoj Sinha to increase the minimum wage of temporary employees of J&K from Rs. 225 to Rs. 600 per day.
He also demanded increasing the number of temporary employees in JMC and ending the NGO system.
The Shiv Sena leader demanded regularization of contractual employees who served JMC for more than 7 years.
He said if their demands are not met soon, then they will start agitation.
Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; G.I Singh, chairman; Rakesh Gupta, vice president; Sanjeev Kohli, Sandeep Bhagat, president Kamghar Wing; Raj Singh, Pawan Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
