JAMMU, Oct 18: Shiv Sena J&K unit today staged a protest demonstration against the decision of Government for easy availability of beer and alcoholic beverages at provisional stores in J&K and demanded liquor ban in J&K.
Led by Manish Sahni the Shiv Sena activists gathered at SIDCO Chowk in Bari Brahmana and raised slogans against the Government for promoting alcoholic drinks.
Sahni said that on one hand, the LG administration is making claims to safeguard youth from drugs by opening de-addiction centers and on the other hand the same Government is making beer easily available for the youth.
Sahni asserted that the decision taken by the J&K Govt is anti-youth and is going to have an adverse impact on young minds who are already struggling amidst frustration due to unemployment.
Prominent among those who were present in the protest were Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh and others.
