JAMMU, June 3: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has strongly objected to the second increase in Toll Tax in the last five months in J&K and demanded its roll back.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said that increase in Toll Tax and prices of Amul products before the results of Lok Sabha elections raises doubts on intentions of the Government.
He said that instead of providing relief to the people struggling with unemployment, inflation and economic recession, the Government is continuously burdening them with tax and inflation.
The Shiv Sena leader said that the National Highway is being built by looting the pockets of the people and he strongly objected to these arbitrary increases.
Sahni said that Holy Shri Amarnath Yatra is starting in the next few days and the Government should make the pilgrimage toll free but the Government on other hand is increasing the Toll Tax.
Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi and secretary, Rajesh Handa were also present in the press conference.
