Shiv Sena demands security to hoist Tricolour at Lal Chowk

JAMMU, Dec 22: Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thakrey) today stressed for permanently hoisting the National Flag of minimum 100ft height at various historical places of J&K especially at Lal Chowk in the heart of Srinagar city.
Addressing a press conference, Shiv Sena State chief, Dimpy Kohli and general secretary, Manish Sahni, said that party has strongly recommended to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to consider their demand and ensure adequate security to the J&K leaders of Shiv Sena for the purpose.
They said that the Shiv Sena J&K unit has approached the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Mehbooba Mufti and Governor N N Vohra, urging for unfurling the National Flag at these places.  They said that Party’s National president, Uddhav Thakrey has directed the parliamentary party to take up the matter in the ensuing the Parliament Session.
The leaders also expressed concern over receiving threats to the life of those Shiv Sainiks who dared to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, recently.
