Shiv Sena demands Statehood restoration

JAMMU, Oct 14: After the revocation of President rule from J&K and paving way for an elected Government, time has come that PM Modi led Government should fulfill its promise of Statehood restoration to J&K.
This was stated by Manish Sahni, J&K Shiv Sena UBT president while addressing a press conference here today.
He said that President rule has been revoked from J&K after 6 years.
“Now we demand that Modi Government should fulfill its promise and return Statehood to J&K,” Sahni maintained adding that as NC-Congress alliance have won the Assembly elections with full majority and Omar Abdullah is all set to be the Chief Minister, he should not expand his cabinet before the restoration of Statehood.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena UBT J&K unit has also demanded appointment of a retired army officer as next Lieutenant Governor of J&K.
On this occasion, social worker Baby Koul and Dr. Bharat Gupta along with supporters joined Shiv Sena and were welcomed into the party by Manish Sahni.
Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh and secretary, Rajesh Jandial were also present on this occasion.
