Jammu, June 7: State unit of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackrey today extended full support to the ongoing agitation of Civic Safaikaramcharis of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Briefing media persons here today, the Sena president Dimpy Kohli and general secretary Manish Sahni said that Safaikaramcharis are backbone of the Jammu Municipal Corporation but unfortunately they have been deprived of their rights despite repeated appeals, representations and reminders.
Kohli appealed the Government to consider the Safaikaramcharis’ genuine demands, which included re-organisation of JMC, regularisation of 33 contractual drivers, regularisation of 200 Safaikaramcharis, Computer Operators and Technical Assistants/ Surveyors, filling-up of vacant post of Safaikaramcharis, conducting DPC for all cadre employees, scrapping outsourcing of wards and NGO system, appointment of daily-wager Safaikaramcharis, etc.
Sahni urged the Governor Satya Pal Malik to consider their demands at the earliest otherwise Shiv Sena workers will come on roads in support of Safaikaramcharis.
