JAMMU, Mar 30: Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, J&K Unit has flayed the levying of Property Tax in J&K from April 1, 2023.
In a programme organized at Bari Brahmana near here today, J&K Shiv Sena chief, Manish Sahni claimed that no protest is working against the “anti-people J&K administration” as the government is going to levy the Property Tax on the people of J&K from April 1, 2023.
He said that people of J&K have been facing terrorism for the last 35 years while COVID, unemployment and inflation have further shattered their economy.
“Instead of giving some relief to the people here, the government is putting extra burden of Tax on J&K people,” the Shiv Sena leader maintained adding: “Preparations have also been made to increase the rates of electricity and water bills in J&K.”
Urging the LG administration to immediately roll back the Property Tax, Sahni said that let the Assembly elections be held first and the issues like Property Tax be left to the elected governments.
On this occasion dozens of local youths joined Shiv Sena and president Kamgar Wing of Shiv Sena, Raj Singh and Shashipal welcomed the new entrants with Shiv Bandhan.
