Shiv Sena against imposition of tax on Amarnath Yatries

JAMMU, May 3: Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today made a strong appeal to Central as well as J&K Government not to impose any type of tax on Amarnath Yatries.
In a press statement issued by Dimpy Kohli, State chief, Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery), said that few days back his party submitted a memorandum to Governor of J&K, NN Vohra, to give more and more facilities to Amarnath Yatries and not to impose any type of tax (Jazia) on Amarnath Yatries.
Kohli said that Shri Amarnath Shrine Board must cancel 12 percent tax for the Yatries travelling to holy cave via Helicopter besides toll taxes on vehicles entering via Lakhanpur border.
He further stressed for providing security cover of the tune of 20 lakhs per Yatri and making arrangements by SASB for shifting dead bodies of the deceased people who leave for heavenly abode during the Yatra due to certain reasons to their respective places free of cost.
