JAMMU, Jan 23: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today paid rich tribute to the Party founder, Bala Saheb Thackeray on his birth anniversary and took a pledge of patriotism and social service.
In a programme here today J&K Shiv Sena leaders including party chief for J&K, Manish Sahni paid floral tribute to Bala Saheb.
Speaking on the occasion Sahni said that Bala Saheb Thackeray played an important role in Ram Mandir movement and in the political stage of Maharashtra.
He further said that Bala Saheb started his career as an influential cartoonist and founded Shiv Sena in 1966.
“He was a symbol of Marathi pride and Hindutva, whose passionate style earned him the title of Hindu Hriday Samrat” the Shiv Sena leader maintained adding: “Though Bala Saheb is not physically among us today but his thoughts and outspoken style are still alive in every Shiv Sainik.”
Shiv Sena also paid tribute to the revolutionary leader Subhash Chandra Bose.
Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; chairman, Rakesh Gupta; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Sanjeev Kohli; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh; Titu Sehgal and others were also present on the occasion.
