JAMMU, Aug 18: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray (J&K unit) here today paid rich tributes to the hero of India’s freedom struggle, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his death anniversary.
Netaji’s contributions to freedom struggle were remembered during a programme organized by Shiv Sena.
While paying tributes to Netaji, J&K Shiv Sena president, Manish Sahni recalled contributions of this revolutionary leader of freedom movement.
He said that Netaji was such a freedom fighter who sacrificed everything for the cause of his motherland. “Netaji believed that armed rebellion was the only way to end British rule from India and he remained strict to this ideology throughout his life. His determination towards his nation can be well gauged from the fact that he raised ‘Azad Hind Fauj’ which was at par with armies of the world that time,” he maintained.
The Shiv Sena leader said that Netaji’s slogan ‘Aap Muje Khoon Do, Mai Tumhe Azadi Doonga’ had miraculous impact on the people across Indian subcontinent.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; chairman Rakesh Gupta; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Sanjeev Kohli and secretary, Geeta Lakhotra.
