JAMMU, Mar 25: Shiv Sena, J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration against the Union Government and claimed that inflation is at peak at present.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni and the protesters demanded making of the movie ‘The Inflation Files’.
They were holding placards with ‘Hungry Days Waiting for Good Days’, ‘Inflation Stops During Elections’ etc written on them.
Addressing protesters Sahni said that income of common people has come down while inflation has increased many times due to which food is disappearing from the plate of common people.
“The BJP led Government at the Centre has failed to check the soaring fuel prices which has broken the back of common man,” the Shiv Sena leader claimed adding that the prices of edible oil have increased more than double in two years.
He appealed PM Modi led government to ensure cash assistance to each family every month along with grassroots efforts to get rid of inflation.
Sahni informed that Shiv Sena has opened a front against inflation in every district of J&K and such protests were also held in Kupwara, Udhampur, Doda, Samba, Kathua and Katra.
