JAMMU, Dec 7: J&K unit of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray today staged a protest demonstration at Bari Brahmana Chowk against the snapping of internet and increasing toll plazas in Jammu.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni who condemned the forcible detention of National Panthers Party leaders and termed it as BJP’s move to thwart Jammu Bandh.
Demanding restoration of internet services in J&K, Sahni said if Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is claiming peaceful atmosphere in J&K, then why there is a ban on internet services in the newly formed UT.
He also said that people of Jammu were demanding that Sarore toll plaza be removed but the Government has planned more such plazas for Jammu.
“Apart from all this, there is no strategy to control the increasing inflation and continuous economic slowdown,” the Shiv Sena leader maintained.
He said, the business class and industrialists of Jammu are disappointed with the Government.
Shiv Sena General Secretary, Vikas Bakshi; J.I Singh, Secretary; Raj Singh, Joint Secretary; Raju Salaria, Pawan Singh, Mangu Ram, Uttam Singh, Sunil Kumar, Ganesh Lal and others were also present in the protest.
