Shiv Sena protests against skyrocketing prices

JAMMU, Oct 15: Activists of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray, J&K unit staged a protest demonstration against the skyrocketing prices of vegetables and other essential commodities.
The protesters claimed that there is unprecedented hike in petrol, diesel and cooking gas price.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni who expressed resentment against Central Government’s “failure” in controlling inflation.
With garlands of vegetables around their necks, the protesters staged a sit-in.
Manish Sahni said that ever increasing prices of all the commodities has deteriorated the budget of common man.
“Prices of onion, tomato, potato, cabbage, carrot etc have increased more than one and half as compared to what it was last week,” he claimed.
Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; senior vice president, Sanjeev Kohli; Balwant Singh, secretary; Geeta Lakhotra, president R.S Pura; Balveer Singh, president Kamgar; Raj Singh, Sumit Kumar, Sanjeev Sudan, Monika Dutta, Meena Devi, Dimple, president youth, Binny Mahajan, Rajesh Handa and many others were also present in the protest.
