Shiv Sena protests against soaring prices of essential commodities

JAMMU, Nov 15: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration against sky rocketing prices of essential commodities.
The protest was led by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena J&K president.
Addressing the protesters Sahni said that prices of fruits, vegetables and food items are on rise and black marketing has become common in J&K.
“Under all these circumstances, it has become difficult for the common man to have two times meal,” he maintained.
The protesters were holding placards with anti-inflation slogans.
“Increasing prices of onion, potato, tomato, garlic used in cooking daily, have made the life difficult while the prices of edible oil and pulses are also on rise,” one of the protesters stated.
Sahni further said that, inflation has not been curbed even during the 10.5 years of BJP rule.
Prominent Shiv Sena leaders present in the protest were Meenakshi Chhibber, Jai Bharti, Vikas Bakshi, Sanjeev Kohli, Raj Singh, Geeta Lakhotra, Pawan Singh, Dimple, Viney Singh Jamwal, Ajay Kumar and others.
