JAMMU, Jan 15: Activists of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration demanding free electricity and water for the people of J&K.
Addressing the protesters, Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni said that free electricity and water is the right of J&K people.
“It is a matter of great surprise that electricity is produced by using our resources and we are facing its shortage and have to buy it,” he told protesters.
He also quoted a report to state that J&K has a potential to generate over 16475 Mega Watts of electricity from its water resources.
Sahni further said that Shiv Sena will fight for getting free electricity for the people of J&K and will also meet
J&K Lieutenant Governor in this regard.
Vikas Dewan, Meenakshi Chibber, Ashwani Gupta, Vikas Bakshi, G.I Singh, Surjeet Singh Chib, Raj Singh and others were also present in the protest.
