Shiv Sena Thackeray constitutes Akhnoor unit

JAMMU, Aug 30: – Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir, today formed Akhnoor Unit and appointed Somdutt Sharma its president for Akhnoor. Sorava Sharma was appointed as deputy secretary and Anchal Singh as general secretary where as Sachin Sharma was appointed as president youth Shiv Sena Akhnoor .
The Shiv Sena, also continued its membership drive, in Akhnoor where about 100 people including women joined the party. State president of the party, Manish Sahni said that the membership campaign which started almost two months ago in Jammu has crossed 10,000. He said that on August 22, the national president of SS, Uddhav Thackeray launched the online membership campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. However, for the last 25 days, the speed of the campaign has slowed down after the Internet service was stopped in the State.
Sahni said that he hoped that soon SS would touch the fixed target of one lakh in J&K.
Sahni said his organization will support every step of the Union Government aimed at strengthening national unity and integrity and weeding out of terrorism from its roots in the J&K. But at the same time it will champion the cause of the nationalistic people of J&K and will not hesitate in raising its voice in their support.
Sahni also expanded the State unit and appointed Radhuveer Singh as the State vice president and Rabia Khajuria as the secretary female unit. On this occasion president Women’s Wing Minakshi Chhibber, chairman, Rakesh Gupta, senior vice president, Surjit Singh, secretary Raj Singh, Vikas Bakshi, joint secretary, Raju Salaria, Balwant Singh, Mangu Ram, among many others were present.
