Shiv Sena to contest Assembly elections

JAMMU, June 19: On the occasion of its 56th foundation day, Shiv Sena J&K unit today launched ‘Shiv Sena Aap Ke Dwar’ campaign to make Party’s ‘Lakshya Patra’ based on public aspirations.
Led by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena J&K president, Shiv Sainiks started the campaign from Babe Wali Mata temple in Jammu and distributed among the public Party’s ‘Lakshya Patra’ containing 25 goals like restoration of Statehood to J&K, unemployment allowance to educated youth, prohibition of alcohol on this land of temples and free electricity and water for the people of J&K.
A handout of Shiv Sena stated that with these goals they will enter the upcoming assembly elections.
“On directions of Party’s national president and Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray and under the guidance of national secretary, Anil Desai, Shiv Sena in J&K is working hard to safeguard rights of people and in making their lives comfortable,” Sahni maintained adding that Shiv Sena has decided to contest the upcoming J&K Assembly elections with manifesto based on people’s aspirations for which the party has initiated campaign based on ‘Lakshya Patra’.
Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chibber; president Kamghar wing, Raj Singh; secretary, Geeta Lakhotra and Dimple were also present on the occasion.
