JAMMU, Nov 15: Shiv Sena (Bala Ji Sahib Thackery) today urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to exempt toll tax for few days in view of currency problem.
While addressing a press conference, State general secretary of Shiv Sena, Manish Sawhney, said that Modi Government has banned the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 with a view to put a break on the menace of black money problem.
Sawhney said that how this scheme will affect the life of common man only time will tell. He said that till now ordinary person is running from pillar to post to withdraw money which is his hard earned money. He said that Central Government is giving some relaxation to common man who is out of pocket these days.
“Though Centre has exempted toll tax for few days in the entire nation, the State Government is not implementing this order and giving excuses having no logics in them”, he regretted and said that J&K Government must exempt toll tax at Lakhanpur and other toll posts for few days so that common man can take a sigh of relief.
