JAMMU, Feb 21: Amidst chanting of Mantras the Shivling Sathapana was performed in the newly constructed Shiv Temple in Sharda Peeth complex, Adarsh Nagar Bantalab near here today by the devotees.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu participated in the religious function which was held with fervour and gaiety.
On the occasion, special prayers were performed for world peace and welfare of human beings all over the globe.
The Sathapana of Shivlingam was followed by a Havan in which substantial number of devotees participated.
The newly constructed Shiv Mandir is a fine piece of architecture conceived and executed by the engineers of the community and is one among the best temples of the State constructed by Sharda Mata Trust.
