SHO shifted after drug peddler escapes

Srinagar, May 6: A Station House Officer (SHO) and a Head Constable at Police Station Sumbal in district Bandipora were today transferred after a drug peddler escaped from the Police custody last evening.
As per reports a drug peddler named Mohammad Younis Malla, son of Mohd Yaqoob Malla, a resident of village Shilvat escaped from the custody of Sumbal police.
The criminal was later rearrested by the Police team headed by SDPO Sumbal, Surinder Mohan in the Shadipora area today; however, Inspector Sajad Ahmad and Head Constable Abdul Hamid of the Police Station were transferred to the District Police Line Bandipora.
Inspector Mohammad Salim and Head Constable Abdul Rahim were posted to Police Station Sumbal in place of transferred cops.
