JAMMU, Dec 30: The newly elected Adhoc Committee of the All J&K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha held a press conference at the Headquarters in Krishna Nagar. Newly elected Convener Er. R.C. Bhasin expressed gratitude to both the civil and police administrations for their assistance in peacefully resolving the long-pending dispute of the Central Sabha of All J&K Ravidassia Biradri. He assured that the Sabha would continue working in line with the life and mission of Shree Guru Ravidass.
Er. Bhasin also requested the Ex-President of the Sabha, Piran Ditta, to hand over all financial documents, including cash, cheque books, passbooks, and registers, to facilitate the celebration of the forthcoming Prakash Utsav with grandeur. He invited Piran Ditta to collaborate with the current Managing Committee for the overall progress of the Ravidassia Biradri.
The convener announced that the 648th Prakash Utsav of Shree Guru Ravidassji would be celebrated on 12th February at Krishna Nagar, with the Chief Minister invited as the chief guest. Additionally, a grand Shoba Yatra will be organized on 9th February, starting from Krishna Nagar and culminating at GRDS Bahu Fort Jammu. A general meeting will take place on 5th January to strategize the successful organization of both events.
Committee members present at the press conference included Prof. G.L. Thapa, Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, T.C. Bavouria, Dev Raj Angral, Er. Joginder Paul, Tarsem Loach, Gourab Ravidassia, Kuldeep Thappa “Fougi”, Surjit Heer, and Sham Kalsi.
