JAMMU, June 20: To celebrate 618th Parkash Divas of Sadguru Kabir, All J&K Megh Sudhar Sabha today took out a grand Shoba Yatra from MAM Stadium to Kabir Temple, Old Rehari.
The Shoba Yatra was flagged off by chief guest of the function, Ex-Minister, Rampal, who was accompanied by Bhushan Dogra, Vice Chairman, SC Advisory Board.
After passing through various parts of the city like Jewel, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Parade, Purani Mandi, Exchange Road, the Shoba Yatra culminated at Kabir Mandir, Old Rehari, where Satsang was held.
During the Satsang, Mahant Ajay Dass Ji (Gaddi Tata Nagar) from Kashi, Jharkhand threw light on the life of Sadguru Kabir and asked all the devotees to follow the teachings of Guru ji.
Meanwhile, All J&K Megh Sudhar Sabha felicitated about 50 meritorious students of the community, who got over 90 percent marks in 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th classes.
Speaking on the occasion, Narinder Dutt, general secretary of the Sabha, appealed the State Government employees of the community and Kabir Panthis to keep one day leave on June 20 so that the restricted holiday can be converted into gazetted holiday. He also appealed the other communities to attend the function.
Dutt also made an appeal to the tehsil and block level committees not to celebrate the Jyanti on the same day when the Central and State level functions are being held.
