JAMMU, Oct 19: A colourful shobha yatra of Bhagwan Vishwakarma Ji Maharaj was taken out under the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar, today.
The Vishwakarma shobha yatra procession started from Vishwakarma Sabha, H O Gurha Morh Bakshi Nagar and passed through main bazars of Jammu city. People from different parts of J&K State participated giving a festive look to the Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Vishwakanna.
The Shobha Yatra was flagged off by Kuldeep Raj Verma, vice-chairman OBC Advisory Board. Many Jhankies expressing different characteristics of Vishwakarma Ji Maharaj were depicted. Horses and Baghies were giving extra look to the Shobha Yatra.
The youth were dancing and women folk were singing songs of Vishwakarma Bhagwan like Jai Jai Vishwakarma Namo Namo. All the participants, elders and young filled the air with slogans “Prabhu Vishwakarma ki jai”.
Shobha Yatra in the end culminated at its HO Gurha Morh Bakshi Nagar Vishwakarma temple complex wherein it converged in public meeting which was addressed by the prominent persons including Chief guest Kuldeep Verma, R L Chargotra and R C Angotra.
They highlighted the importance of Bhagwan Vishwakarma who created the beautiful universe with his scientific skill when the God of different nature worshiped him for providing and showering his blessing. He taught the society to work with skill and deed for betterment of whole universe.
Speaker also in one voice asked the State Government to concede their immediate demand of Gazetted holiday on Vishwakarma day.
The prominent who participated were R C Angotra (Ex-president PV Sabha) Sham Chargotra, Shashi Verma, Jagdish Raj, Sain Dass, Sandok Chand, Puran Chargotra (Ex-President PV Sabha), Ram lal (Retd. Principal), Rajinder Kumar, Rakesh Chalotra, Charanjeet Bitta, Vinod Jaral and Ravinder kumar, Sanjay, Joginder Angotra and others.
