JAMMU, Aug 25: For the first time, the management of Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Jammu has decided to take out an impressive Shobha Yatra on the eve of Shri Krishan Janamashtmi this year.
Talking to the media-persons here today, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president of Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhinagar disclosed that for the first time grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out from this temple on August 27 (Tuesday). It will start at round 3 pm and after passing through various routes of Gandhinagar-Shatri Nagar, Nai Basti and parts of Nanak Nagar it will culminate at the same place.
He said several religious, social and trade organizations of the area have accorded support for the commencement of this Shobha Yatra on the eve of Shri Krishan Janamashtmi. He said this event will be made annual affair from this year. The Management Trust Committee members including S C Rekhi (general secretary), who were also present at the conference appealed the general public to participate in this grand religious procession on this day in the city of temples.
