Shootout case worked out; two absconding gangsters arrested

JAMMU, Nov 1: RS Pura police worked out a shootout case with the arrest of two absconding gangsters along with country made pistol.
According to SP Headquarters Jammu Farooq Qaiser, on June 1 this year, three unidentified persons fired upon a person near HDFC Bank RS Pura late in the evening. The bullet missed the target hit an ice cream cart.
A case under FIR Number 83/19 under Section 336 RPC and 3/25 Arms Act was registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
“A team from RS Pura Police Station immediately swung into action and arrested one of the miscreant, who was identified as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Harbans Lal of Ward Number 3, RS Pura”, SP said, adding that during the further investigation, it was established that the accused persons had on account of an old enmity fired upon the victim and so offence under Section 307 RPC was also added.
“The other two accused persons went absconding and kept evading arrests, SP said, adding that police continued with their tracking, developed the leads and finally arrested the accused persons namely Balbinder Kumar alias Suraj, son of Jeet Raj of Ward Number 4 RS Pura and Arun Kumar alias Mukul, son of Ganesh Kumar of Arnia. A country made pistol used in the crime has also been recovered from their possession. Moreover, one Yamaha motorcycle used was also been identified and will soon be recovered and seized accordingly”, SP Farooq Qaiser said, adding that further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of Additional SP RS Pura Sheema Nabi Qasba.
