Shop gutted

MENDHAR, Sept 13: Property worth lakhs was destroyed in a fire incident in a readymade garments shop under mysterious circumstances near Police Station, at Mahesha Market in Mendhar town last night.
Official sources said that the Fire tender reached the spot as soon as the news of the fire broke out. With the help of local people, the fire was brought under control after a hard struggle but by then everything in the shop had turned into ashes.
The cause of fire was not yet clear, There were goods worth lakhs in readymade garments shop. Entire property was completely burnt.
The Police reached the spot to assess the situation. The owner lodged a complaint with Mendhar Police Station.
Shop owner- Mubashar Sameer, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Suroti said that he was ill for the last several days and at night he got a phone call that his shop has caught fire, after which he reached on the spot and saw that everything had burnt into ashes.
