POONCH, Dec 26: Top storey of a footwear shop was gutted in main market Poonch last night resulting severe loss to the owner.
Official sources said that soon after the information of fire incident in the second storey of shop was received the locals reached the spot. The fire tenders and Police also reached there after some time and extinguished the fire but there was severe loss till the fire was completely controlled.
Shop owner Imran Qazi, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Dharra Dullian in Poonch, said that the stock of the shop was kept in this storey of the shop which was gutted in fire resulting loss of lakhs of rupees.
Station House Officer Poonch, Insp Deepek Pathania confirmed the incident and said that the cause of fire is being ascertained.
