REASI, Dec 7: Property worth lakhs was destroyed after a shop was completely gutted at a village in Arnas tehsil of district Reasi last mid-night.
A police spokesman said that incident took place during mid-night when the owner of the General Store, Deep Singh, resident of Bakkal was sleeping in his nearby house. It was believed that either it was some mischief by some body or the fire took place due to short- circuit.
As per the claim of the owner, property worth over Rs 4 lakh has been damaged. The shop had already been engulfed in huge flames when the family came to know about the matter. The fire could not be controlled. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
