Shop gutted in Surankote

POONCH, Oct 13: A readymade garments shop was gutted at Surankote town in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that the shop caught fire near Hari Mohalla in Surankote town during early in the morning today. The locals of the area after coming to know about the incident rushed to the site and informed Police and Fire Station officials. They also launched rescue operation at their own.
The Fire and Emergency Services and Police team rushed to the spot and launched operation to control the fire. Due to their efforts the fire in the shop was extinguished but till then huge loss of readymade garments was reported. The shop owner Sajid Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of village Potha in Surankote also arrived there after some time. The loss of property was being ascertained.
Station House Officer, Rajesh Thapa said that the most probable reason of fire is electric short circuit but still it is being ascertained and a fire report has been entered in Police Station Surankote.
