JAMMU, Apr 25: Police today arrested the owner of a Karyana shop and recovered 50 pouches of liquor from his illegal possession.
According to a police spokesperson, on specific input Akhnoor police raided a Karyana shop in Khour area of Akhnoor and recovered 50 pouches of liquor (desi whisky) from the shop.
A case FIR No 21/15 under Section 48A/50 Excise Act has been registered at police station Khour and the accused identified as Madan Lal son of Paras Ram, a resident of Romali, arrested.
The arrest was made by SHO Khour, SI Iqbal Chagata under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
