RAJOURI, Feb 26: Shopkeepers and owners of some residential houses of village Thandapani, in Sunderbani blocked Jammu- Rajouri- Poonch highway at Thandapani against the irrational methods adopted by GREF authorities in construction of a bye pass road.
They held strong protest alleging that their businesses and livelihoods will get affected. The traffic was suspended for some time on the road during protest.
Later, SHO Sunderbani reached on spot and convinced them to take the issue with GREF & Civil administration at Sunderbani. Thereafter, the road was cleared at around 1330hrs. The protest was held under the supervision of Jasbir Singh, BJP activist.
