JAMMU, June 11: SV Films and Leeward Graphics today released short film “Sapney” at KC Cineplex here, which was watched and appreciated by several eminent media personalities and others from different walks of life, who lauded the crew of the film who worked in the movie quite extra-ordinarily.
Written and directed by Sandeep Verma, the short film conveyed a striking message that we all must respect and obey our parents. The short film portrays that whatever be the reason we must not let our parents down.
Sapney, a short duration film is a must watch film for everyone as it gives a very vital message that nothing is more important than parents as they spend and sacrifice their everything for the children and they must be given love, affection and respect when they become old. The cast and crew of the movie present on the occasion urged everyone to watch the short film.
Those who acted in the film included J R Sagar, Usha Slathia, Akshi Katoch, Sanyam Pandoh, Tovin Kumar, Vivek Sangotra and Rishima Singh. Sourav Verma has done the art direction while Vivek Sangotra, Tovin Kumar and Rohit Sangotra were production controller. Director of production was Prashant Singh who was assisted by Shravan Kumar. Prashant Singh did editing, Vivek Sangotra was assistant director and movie was produced by Sandeep Verrma and Prashant Singh.
The director of the film has been associated with the theatre for the past over 10 years with Amateur Theatre Group and has participated in many national and international theatre festivals. He has acted in three Bollywood films and scores of TV serials for Doordarshan and Life OK Channel.
Beautifully conceptualized and very well executed, the short film was screened at KC Cineplex auditorium. This is for the first time that a short film was screened in cinema hall of Jammu city. The director of short film said that many new projects were underway and soon more movies will be released in near future. He hoped that the audience will like this film as cast and crew has put industrious efforts to make its presentation worth watching.
