SRINAGAR, June 28: Weatherman has forecast early morning and late evening showers on Eid-ul-Azha in Kashmir during the three-day festival of Eid-ul-Azha which begins from tomorrow.
A Meteorological department official said that a brief spell of rain/thundershower was likely to occur at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir towards late afternoon and evening for next 12 hours.
“From June 29- 30, partly cloudy weather is expected. Rain is likely in the early morning and evening,” he said, adding, “same weather is expected from July 1-5.”
Srinagar recorded a low of 17.8°C against 19.4°C the previous night.
Qazigund recorded a low of 17.0°C against 17.0°C the previous night.
Pahalgam recorded a low of 12.4°C against 13.0°C the previous night in the famous tourist resort.
In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 17.2°C against 17.5°C the previous night and it was above normal by 2.1°C for the town.
Kokernag recorded a low of 15.8°C against 16.0°C the previous night and it was 0.7°C above normal for the place.
Gulmarg recorded a low of 12.4°C against 11.5°C previous night at the skiing resort.
