Shri Budha Amarnathji yatra 1421 pilgrims in 26 vehicles reach Poonch

POONCH, July 23: A batch of 1421 Shri Budha Amarnathji pilgrims, including majority of them from Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pardesh reached Poonch from Jammu here this evening.
The pilgrims were accorded warm reception at Sunderbani,  Rajouri, Bhimber Gali and finally at Poonch town where they will take night halt today.
At Poonch, the batch of pilgrims was received by SSP Shamsheer Hussain, Addl SP, Poonch, Yougal Manhas, Asstt Commissioner, Yatra Nodal Officer Ashok Kumar besides SD Sabha president Manjit Kumar, District VHP president Nishu Gupta, Akhara Mandir president, Basant Ram and other prominent citizens.
District Administration, management committees of various religious bodies of Poonch have made elaborate boarding and lodging and other logistic arrangements for the yatris. A round the clock `Langar’ has been set up at Akhara Mandir by the Management Committee with the support of many religious and social organizations. Many locals are offering their services in the Langar.
These pilgrims have been accommodated in  local Degree College, two Higher Secondary Schools, Geeta Bhawan complex and ITI building. Additional paramilitary force men have been deployed at these places.  These pilgrims will leave for Mandi town in the morning where shrine of  Budha Amarnathji is located about 23 kms from here. Thereafter, they will  return to Jammu.
