UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today chaired a function organised by Shri Krishan Janam Utsav Samiti Udhampur.
Prominent present on the occasion were Chairman of Samiti Satish Kumar, President of Samiti Sanjay Gupta, general secretary Dinesh Kesar, President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha Udhampur Yogeshwar Gupta, AD Fisheries and Deputy Director Employment, DySP [Hq].
On the occasion, Bhajan Kirtan was presented by the renowned Bhajan Samrat Vinod Aggarwal from Mumbai and Baldev Krishan Seghal.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister complimented the Samiti for organizing the function and hoped that they will continue holding such programmes in future also. He said that such religious events act as food for the soul and mind giving much needed peace of mind to us in today’s era of stress and uncertainty. He added that we should utilize these occasions optimally to pure ourselves for our good.
Later, he also visited several areas of Kathua district which had suffered damages due to continous rain.
