JAMMU, Aug 8: As per past practice, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar Jammu has decided to celebrate the “Shani Shilla Sthapna Divas” this year on 10th Aug 2023 in a big way.
While addressing a press conference, here today, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and President of the Trust, shared details of the religious programme. He informed that the programme will begin with Shri Ganesh and Navgreh Poojan at 8 am, followed by Hawan Yagya at 9 am.
“Shila Abhishek and Shringar will be held at 10 am while Pushap Abhishek, Puranaahuti and Maha Aarti will be performed at 11 am, which shall be followed by a grand Bhandara at 1 pm,” he said.
Charak mentioned that Shri Shani Shilla (a replica of Shani Mandir Shingna Pur, Maharashtra) was installed at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex Gandhi Nagar Jammu with great pomp and show by the eminent Shastris and Pandits of Shingna Pur along with local learned Pujaris on 10th of Aug 2018 and since then this day is celebrated every year.
“So as per past practice this year too, this day is being celebrated on 10th of August 2023 as per programme given below,” he said.
The Trust has also constituted a function committee consisting of Deepak Gupta, Kiran Rajput, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Ashok Khajuria, Parshant Sharma, Krishan P Gupta, Sumesh Damral, Uma Katal, Ved Verma, Sandeep Singh and headed by K B Magotra. The committee shall make all necessary arrangement under the guidance of S C Rekhi, the General Secretary of the Trust.
Davinder Khawle and his family members from Pune, who have helped a lot for the construction of this beautiful temple have especially been invited to attend the grand celebrations.
“All are requested to join this grand programme along with their family members and have blessings of Shri Shani Bhagwan ji, More over, they are also requested to have ‘Parshad’ from Bhandara being arranged after the Maha Aarti,” said Mr Charak.
