Shrimad Bhagwat Katha starts with “Kalash Yatra”

JAMMU, June 1: A huge “Kalash yatra” was taken out with great enthusiasm and religious fervour, to mark the celebrations of Ganga Dashera which is sheduled to be held at Gyan Ganga Ashram in Rajouri town. The yatra started from Sanatan Dharam Sabha Mandir near tehsil office headed by Shri Shri 1008 Atal Pethadeshwar Rajguru Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Vishwatamanand Saraswati ji Maharaj accompanied by scores of devotees hailing from different parts of UT prominently from Sunderbani, Nowshera, Kalakote, Dhangri, Udhampur, Kathua and Jammu besides some other places.
During the entire yatra route, devotees performed various dance with drum beats and chanted bhajans in favour of Lord Krishna with zeal and gaiety.
The Yatra passed through various locations and covered areas like Raghunath Bazar, City chowk, Moti Bazar, Old Bus stand and finally culminated at SVS Gyan Ganga Ashram where “Shrimad Bhagwat Tatva Gyan Yagya (Bhagwat Katha)” is being organised. The members of SVS Ashram Committe Rajouri welcomed Swamiji and devotees by showering flowers. Later, parshad was distributed among the devotees.
“The seven days Bhagwat Katha is starting from today at SVS Gyan Ganga Ashram and would be conclude on 7th of June followed by two days Sant Sammelan on 8th and 9th June and after “Guru Puja”, a huge Bhandara would be organised in the ashram”, said Pt.Ashwani Sharma, Member, SVS Ashram Committe.
