Shrine Board Gears Up To Facilitate Mata Vaishno Devi Pilgrims In Navratras

JAMMU, Mar 25: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) is geared up to welcome and facilitate the pilgrims with additional facilities and new infrastructure during the week-long navratras starting from March 30 and concluding on April 6.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), (SMVDSB) Anshul Garg posted on X, “an all-weather covered resting area for 1500 pilgrims at Ardhkuwari, being decked up to facilitate Yatris this #ChaitraNavratri onwards.”
The area, he said, is equipped with a water ATM, Prasad Kiosk, Refreshment unit and Live Telecast of Garbhjoon Aarti for enhancing divine Yatra experience.
The CEO also posted that the renovated ‘Darshani Deodi’ with a double storey queue complex, is all set to welcome pilgrims this #ChaitraNavratri.
“An all-weather marble clad structure, with a capacity to accommodate 2000 pilgrims at a time, adds to the glory of the traditional Banganga track. #JaiMataDi,” he posted on X.
Notably, in the month of January this year, 5,69,164 pilgrims offered prayers at Bhawan while in February, 3,78,865 paid the obeisance.
The shrine is expected to witness heavy rush of pilgrims from the first week of April when the examinations across the country will be over.
In 2024, a record number of 94.83 lakh devotees visited the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi nestled in the Trikuta Hills of Katra town in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
