JAMMU, May 10: Additional DG, CRPF SN Shrivastava took over the charge of Special Director General, Jammu and Kashmir Zone, CRPF.
He is a 1985 batch IPS officer of AGMUT Cadre. Before joining the CRPF, he was holding charge of Special Commissioner, Delhi Police.
He has a vast experience of serving in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram in various capacities and has great tenure in SPG, ensuring security of VVIPs.
In his present assignment, he will supervise deployment of CRPF in the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh.
In J&K, he will oversee counter-insurgency operations and law and order duties being performed by CRPF troops. His imminent focus will be on smooth and peaceful conduct of Shri Amarnath Yatra scheduled to commence on July 2 and conclude on August 18.
