JAMMU, Nov 4: A dental awareness camp was organized today by SHS Memorial Hospital, Rehari Chungi, Jammu, at Kalgi-Dhar Gurudwara, Rehari Colony Road.
The camp was conducted by Dr Rohit Sharma and Dr Palvi Sawhney under the supervision of Dr Simranpreet Singh, MD and Administrator of SHS Memorial Hospital. During the camp, around 250 patients were examined for their oral hygiene status.
Dr Rohit Sharma advised the patients about the benefits of maintaining oral hygiene by proper brushing and other techniques available in field of dentistry. Dr Sharma also gave live demonstration to get rid of the cause of majority of oral problems. He also focused on maintaining nutritional diet instead of eating fast foods.
Dr Simranpreet motivated the patients by providing free tooth brushes, pastes and mouth washes. She also mentioned that SHS Memorial Hospital is organizing such camps in various specialities from time to time for the welfare of the society.
She also informed the visiting patients that SHS Memorial Hospital provides discount on investigations, X-Rays (Digital) and surgeries to economical weaker sections of the society. She further informed that specialities available in the Hospital are Orthopedics, cardiology, Gynaecology, general Surgery, Urology, ENT, Paediatrics, etc.
